About The Founder of Wise Heart Wellness, Meghan Harlow:

I am a mother of three incredible children, 2 boys and a girl. They are my first and my everything. Especially with my children in mind, I am beyond grateful to be living this wise heart, botanically inspired life. Wellness has always been the pinnacle for me and my children offer even more opportunities to witness these potent plant remedies at work. 

 

I was born in the midwest but my whole family is from the south. At the age of seven my mother and I caught up to them and moved to Kentucky with our 'small zoo' in tow! I attribute growing up with such a strong mother on horse farms as the original inspiration for the direction my life has taken. I have many memories of playing in the fields and woods pretending to be a medicine woman mixing healing remedies made from plants. Now decades later, I am again doing the same thing. When I was twelve we moved to Germany and lived there until I graduated high school. Living in Europe gave me a great opportunity to be exposed to natural plant based medicine. The integrative model of medical care meant natural remedies were more readily available and widely accepted. 

 

I have long been an alternative thinker. Upon returning to the U.S. I allowed my intuition to guide me in attending massage school before going to university. I did not realize it at the time but this was the best decision I could have made, as it was in massage school that I discovered I had a keen intuition and healing touch. This training was the solidifying event in the course of my life's path. From there I continued my studies in manual therapies and became certified as a myo-fascial and cranial-sacral therapist and also in photonic therapy. By this point I was certain about my calling in the world of healing arts and natural medicines. In 2006 I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors in Science and major in Alternative Medicine. 

 

With my drive for continuing education and love for working with women I began my formal birth work training. Over the next couple of years I added birth/postpartum doula, newborn massage instructor, placentaphage, Birthing from Within mentor and certified health coach to my practice.

 

I had been introduced to essential oils early on in my training as a massage therapist and then again working with midwives in the homebirth setting. However, it was not until 2010 when I was invited to an essential oil class, much like the ones I teach today, that I discovered such a pure and potent quality of oils with dōTERRA. Everything in that class resonated with me and experiencing the oils was sincerely profound. My relationship with plants deepened from that day forward. 

 

As I began to invite the oils into my life I came to discover more and more applications for them. Beyond using them for emotions and general wellbeing, life was continually presenting new situations to test the oils. After years of profound experiences and countless success stories I decided it was time to share on a deeper level.

 

In Febuary of 2014 I made the choice to walk the path of essential oil educator. It is my mission to empower families with natural solutions and support them in becoming the healer in their home. I share my passion through the community around me both locally and globally through the interwebs. We have built a strong and connected essential oil family with unsurpassed support. I also help empower individuals with obtaining financial freedom by doing the same thing I am, experiencing, connecting, sharing and growing. This is truly a dream job!
